This Japanese spinach salad is not only incredibly easy to cook, but it also has a delightful sweet, nutty flavor. In fact, you can prepare the spinach in less than five minutes if you use frozen spinach. Although it takes a little longer to prepare fresh spinach, both options are still quick and simple.
This spinach salad is called as Aona no goma-ae in Japanese. It goes nicely when served with a salty soup or when included in a full Japanese-inspired meal. This dish is most likely not to be found in a typical western cookbook. The fact that this salad just looks elaborate and time-consuming is an added benefit. You won’t have to work for hours on end simply to make a side dish.
If you’re anything like me, including vegetables in your meal plans can occasionally be difficult. I adore how this salad makes doing just that simple and enjoyable. Additionally, whenever we eat Asian food, my family and I always feel satisfied but not overstuffed. If I can only get us to eat more vegetables? I think that’s a win-win situation!
