Merry Christmas from my home to yours! This week, I collaborated with a few other bloggers, and we shared images of our holiday-decorated houses.

This year, I didn’t purchase any new holiday decorations except from the birch trees described above. I’ve reached the point of saturation where I have enough things and don’t want to keep acquiring more, so I just repurpose what I currently have. I took my old favorites out of the storage containers and threw them around the home.

Last weekend, I ran into a friend at a Christmas celebration. He works as a florist, so I asked him to buy me several bunches of eucalyptus when he went to the San Francisco flower market. He agreed, and a few days later I got enough of it to layer all over. So in addition to the customary fir and cedar, I also use fresh eucalyptus in my uncomplicated and organic holiday decorating style.
