We love DIY projects and home design at Remodelaholic, but we also adore recipes. We want to start sharing some seriously delicious recipes once a week in addition to continuing to highlight our most recent and greatest remodeling efforts. We’re still remodelaholics, so enjoy the recipes and remember that. Nothing compares to a big stack of lemon waffles. Seriously, there’s something about the recipe’s fluffiness, sweetness, and simplicity that makes it a weekend staple in our house.
Actually, this recipe’s cozy and comforting qualities are one of my favorites! In other words, this is one of those meals that is not only scrumptious but also a family favorite and superb to enjoy with the people you care about while sipping hot cocoa or coffee and drinking some orange juice.
I really appreciate how the lemon flavor is not overbearing but rather mild. While I adore dishes that are flavor-packed as much as the next gal, there are times when I prefer dishes that are more understated and allow me to add additional toppings and spreads rather than overwhelming my palate with an explosion of lemon flavor.
And may we please discuss how delicious and soft these waffles are, almost melting in your mouth? The most delicate waffle you’ll ever eat, in all seriousness (but dont worry, they are way beyond easy to make). The explanation behind their wealth? We exclusively use egg yolks to make them.
Even though it might seem absurd, making Lemon Waffles exclusively from egg yolks ensures that they will be richer in flavor and have the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. Nevertheless, save the whites for later because we will also use them. To top the waffles and elevate their level of deliciousness, we will bake a fresh meringue.
Then all that’s left to do is prepare them, cook them, and serve them warm and deliciously topped with your own homemade meringue.
LUNATIC WAFFLES These Lemon Waffles have it all—they’re really tasty and simple to prepare. They are so delicious and rich and silky that they practically melt in your mouth! Recipe Print
