We are breakfast lovers here; we enjoy the big, satisfying meals that make weekends so enjoyable. You know, waffles, pancakes, and the occasional serving of oats. As a result, smoothies (and other liquids, for that matter) were never commonplace here.

That is certainly before this season of striving to eat healthier and increasing the amount of fruits and fresh foods in our diets arrived. All of a sudden, I was trying out every smoothie recipe I could find. Finding a good one, however, was difficult! They either required a million ingredients or were either too thick or tasted too healthy (if you know what I mean).

After conducting a great deal of recipe testing and feeling defeated, I finally came up with this recipe. And holy moly, this mango morning smoothie nearly defeats all those heartier meals we are so accustomed to and enjoy.

This is excellent, my friends; this is excellent. First off, it has a fantastic, intensely tropical flavor that makes cooking it feel like a tropical vacation. Second, this is filling—very filling—so it keeps you full throughout the morning (which I really like), and third, it’s incredibly simple and quick to prepare.

Additionally, you can put it in freezer packages. Simply place all of the ingredients in a Ziploc bag, and when you’re ready to drink, put the bag to the blender along with the orange juice, milk, and grenadine. Pulse the ingredients until they are combined. It takes around 3 minutes to make a blender glass full of it, even without the packets!

Mango Sunrise Smoothie

INGREDIENTS 3 peeled mangos Peeled banana, one Orange juice, 1 cup 100 ml of milk 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds 1 tablespoon of grenadine syrup two cups of ice INSTRUCTIONS Put the fruits in a blender after chopping them up into small bits. Add the ice, grenadine syrup, sesame seeds, and orange juice. Blend everything thoroughly. Enjoy serving in big glasses. NOTES Add a few mint leaves to the drink for a fresh kick.
