FRENCH TOAST WITH CREAM CHEESE STUFFING French toast stuffed with cream cheese Written by Foodieaholic Ingredients 1/8 cup softened cream cheese spread 1 tablespoon of orange rind, shredded 8 pieces of whole-wheat bread a half-cup of low-fat milk 0.5 teaspoons of sugar One-half teaspoon of vanilla extract two huge eggs {br}{br} {b} /b/ Tropical Compote 1 1/2 cups thawed frozen pineapple chunks orange juice from one Brown sugar, 2 tablespoons 1/2 cup toasted, sweetened flaked coconut Instructions Cream cheese and orange rind should be thoroughly combined. Over 4 slices of bread, evenly spread the mixture. Add the final four slices of bread on top, gently pressing them to seal the edges. a big griddle or nonstick skillet that has been sprayed with cooking spray and heated over medium-high heat. In a small bowl, combine milk, sugar, vanilla, and eggs and whisk until well combined. Put two sandwiches in the egg mixture and let them sit for 30 seconds on each side. Sandwiches should be added to the skillet and cooked for 2 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned. Repeat the process with the other 2 sandwiches.
